Cello, Ribbon and Trunk Shows Galore

I feel like I have been living in a tunnel. I have barely been able to sneak a peek at twitter, facebook and Halloween already seems like a week ago.

It is holiday trunk show season and the Grove is wrapping at full speed! I have been up to my eyeballs in cello bags, grosgrain ribbon and orders and I couldn't be happier!

If any of you will be in D.C. next week, or have friends or family that live there, PLEASE feel free to spread the word about our trunk show! My friends J & K are launching their kids clothing line, Oh My Darling Designs!, did I mention they have smocking for under $40, our friend Aimee will also be their with her fabulous, very Martha, seasoned nuts and it wouldn't be a Grove holiday trunk show without cocktails and a sale corner (which may involve a lot of pink and green, hint, hint!)

So please forgive me if my next few posts involve sugar and Starbucks (the diet of a small business champion if you throw in some Chickk Fil A iced tea!), but I am thrilled that the new paper site and our trunk shows are keeping me busy!

It's Trunk Show Time

One great thing about owning a business as a mom is meeting others in the same boat. I love being able to support other businesses and have fallen in love with the clothes from Kate and Libby. I mean what's not to love about the monogrammed girls swimsuits, or dresses, or bubbles or tunics or nightgowns...but then we found out baby #2 was going to be our little prince Baby C and the boys clothes were suddenly in my arena!

So here are some of my favorites from the fall line..obviously Mini K won't be wearing a ruffle romper, but I still think it is adorable! If you are in the D.C. or Alexandria area just email me or leave a comment and I will send you the address.

Friday, August 6th: 11am-4pm

We have the trunk at Casa Grove all week so if these times don't work for you just let me know and you can come by for your own shopping date!

Fed Ex Is My Friend, My Mailman Is Not

Only I would host a week long trunk show the week after the worst snowstorm on record. K and I are hosting a Kate and Libby trunk show, because the two ladies that usually rep the line couldn't do it this year. I have to say, yet again, our Fed Ex man ROCKS! He braved our street, with the HUGE trunk of clothes to deliver it to me yesterday. I should say our road had not been plowed at that time and we had no less than 16" of packed snow and ice on it.

I mean how adorable are these clothes? They need to be seen and more important, I need to be reminded, that all of this snow will melt and spring will bring warm weather and minis in fabulous preppy spring attire! My mailman hasn't been seen since Thursday and I am pretty sure won't make it up to me by showing up on Monday, but I am choosing to focus on the adorable tankinis instead!

And with that, I am being sucked back into watching the short track speed skating on the Olympics.
