Bags To Pack...

There is something about receiving a package in the mail...not the part where you have to stand in line for what is always longer than it should be at the Post Office, but when you pull up to your house and find an unexpected or long awaited for box sitting on your front porch. Our mail didn't come last night until, well it was so late, I found the box this morning!

And today of all days, I needed a pick me up! A big thank you to Maryland Pink and Green! I love everything you sent me.
Mini K came home from school and insisted on practicing her circle tracing skills and I can't wait to pack my 2 new bags to take to the hospital for Mini #2's arrival on April 20th!

Your package will be in the mail tomorrow...see first paragraph about said LONG line at the Post Office...how I wish every Post Office only featured those computer shipping centers with a big belt behind them so the package holders were never full.

In other news, we have ordered some great new lines for PGG and I am slowly knocking out my spring cleaning. Thanks to Miss Mermaid, I am taking clothes, sunglasses and handbags that I haven't touched in a year into Secondi on Friday and making some much needed space!

How is your week?

Whirlwind Weekend

Warning...there is absolutely nothing GLAMOUROUS about my weekend. I have been catching up on blogs since Mini K went to bed and it seems that quite a few of you had very exciting weekends.

I did receive a super fun swap package in the mail from the talented Just An All American Girl.

The frame will be perfect for the nursery as lime green is one of our colors and all of you know I love all things paper. This box of stationery is gong straight to my office tomorrow.

Thank you to the chic Maryland Pink and Green for organizing the swap....I know it is a lot of work.

Mr. Grove and Mini K attended their first Father Daughter Dance at her school on Saturday night and it seems she was a dancing queen!

Other than that it rained, and rained some more and tonight's fun activity is to finally finish posting my ebay listings of Mini K's now too small items. Sigh........

Let Me Fill You In....

Yes, I know I have been an absent blogger, but I must confess I don't regret it for one second. I have spent the last 5 days with Mini K, going to the pool, the playground, walking preppy pup and getting ready for PRESCHOOL to start TOMORROW. Don't ask me why this seems like a bigger deal to me than kindergarten or first grade, but it does. Mr. Grove said something out of the blue and it struck a chord. After tomorrow, the only real first day of school change will be when she has her first day of college and is not in our house anymore. And before the catty remarks come rolling into the comments, let me just say this: I have learned something from my 3 year old minnie this summer that I am trying to take with me each and every day: THE BEST PART IS RIGHT NOW.

Today right now meant receiving several amazing surprises. One being my Prep For Fall Swap Package's arrival. I was lucky enough to have been partnered with the fabulous Miss Janice for this swap (thanks again for hosting Hopsy).

Miss Janice, thank you so much for everything. Don't you just love it when you open a package and your would have purchased every single item in it for yourself. Well that was me as I opened each and every pink and green wrapped package.

Here are a few pictures of my fabulous swap package:

Several of you have emailed and asked about my monogrammed sandals. I don't know that I am brave enough to post the exact count of the number I own on the blog. A girl must have some secrets, but SB Sandals, is having their annual sale and you can save $20 on your own monogrammed pair. I am telling you the hardest part will be selecting your colors.

I Have Crawled Out From My Pile....

This has been quite a weekend. I have been so focused on crossing things off of my to do list, that I have neglected my blog. I would love to give you some fabulous excuse, but between sticking to my new workout of Crossfit, enjoying those last summer days at the pool with a 3 year old who can FINALLY swim and errands, well at the end of the day I just really wanted to sleep.

I am going to post this week's Monday Madness tomorrow, so we can call it Tardy Tuesday.

As many of you know, I hate tardiness. Especially, when said tardiness occurs without so much as a phone call, text or email. I also know I can't expect everyone else to be on time and be late myself. You all also know that I am a sucker for SWAPS. I confess, I love them. Maybe they make me feel young again, or that it is fun to shop for someone else that I feel like I have more than a few things in common with, or really maybe it is because it's guilt free shopping. Is that ever a bad thing? Hopsy over at Kappa Prep organized one of the biggest fall swaps I have seen and I was paired with the fabulous Miss Janice.

If you haven't checked out her blog, you must CLICK on over and have a read. Her tablescapes are simply stunning and I find myself wishing I owned ALL of them, but that would probably require another kitchen renovation, and well I am just not there yet. Tonight I got her package all wrapped up in pink and green Lilly P style and am mailing it off tomorrow. I am simply thrilled that I will be early for the August 28th deadline. It's the small things my friends, as I feel like I am racing the clock on so many things in my life these days. I hope Miss Janice likes her package, because I had so much fun shopping for her.
Grove Gal E and I have been busy planning al kinds of fun events and specials for the holidays, so get ready. And yes, I will admit it, I have started my must purchase list for Partner's Card weekend in Dallas.
