Still Waiting

I have taken advantage of still waiting on this baby to try and get some last minute things done! That is the glass is half full version...it also means in between doctor's visits and monitoring I am beyond frustrated and impatient!

We took Mini K to a sibling class at the hospital so she could get used to the idea of bringing her baby brother home. She had one demand...no baby pool this summer because she can swim and it is well...for babies!
Mini K practicing her big sister skills.

I may have also done a little retail therapy...not as good as pain medicine, but I am saving that for when I really need it.

Tom's for Mini K...she LOVED knowing that another child got a pair as well

Mini #2 will follow clearly be followign in big sister's preppy style...if only Lilly made baby boy's clothes...HINT HINT

Baby Watch Has Begun

Today started with my weekly doctor's appointment. I had planned on being in and out in 30 minutes so i could get back to processing PGG orders and my day job with only a week to go before my scheduled induction. It seems Mini #2 had other plans, so off to the hospital I went.

No I didn't have the baby today, but it now seems that NO ONE thinks I will make it until next Tuesday. It seems Mini #2 has decided that he is outgrowing me...I have lost 4lbs in the last 5 days (now why can't I do this when I am NOT pregnant?) but Mini #2 has gained 3 ounces and is now running out of room. I may or may not have said in my ot loud voice that I could hae told you that! I am choosing to blame baby brain.

We are as ready as we can be and I have started to plan what I want for summer post baby....there are only so many blue baby clothes I can look at ladies! It's almost Lilly time and I cannot wait!!!!

The Bedding Arrived...The Postman Can Go

I have been waiting for the postman to deliver our crib bedding all week. It shipped last Friday and needless to say I was fine until Wednesday...then the panic set in. It was shipped USPS priority mail, or as Mr. Grove calls it "slow boat to China in a red, white and blue box."

It finally arrived yesterday and I LOVE IT!!!!!! I did Mini K's nursery in what else...pink and green, so we obviously knew we would not be using her bedding for Mini #2. A boy in a pink and green nursery would not fly with Mr. G.

I found a great seller on etsy and designed a set that I like now even more than when I ordered it. I was so excited to put it on the crib. Obviously we are still missing one thing: a crib sheet so consider these photos a work in progress.

The nursery also has a twin bed and I had a decorator friend make a european sham and had the amazingly talented Debbie at Whyte House Monograms, well monogram it! The result..a perfect match!

Clearly, while I left the pink for Mini K, the lime green can do no wrong.

I promise to post the final photos once I finish the nursery.

The Final Stretch

I have been frantically working to get everything done before Mini #2 arrives. It seems he might have other plans, because as of Friday we are on baby watch. I know this makes most moms think of sleepless nights, but all I can think of is how much I cannot wait to get back to Bikram yoga. I was finally starting to get the hang of it when I found out I was expecting.

This upcoming Saturday is also the day I officially become AMA: Advanced Maternal Age. I really didn't have a problem turning 35...that is until I was introduced to that phrase.

Grove Gal E had a HUGE event for her day job this past week and it was a huge success. I am hoping she is enjoying a cocktail right now as she is hosting what I am calling Manfest tonight for her husband's birthday.

I finally picked out Mini #2's birth announcements...you would think it would only take me a second, but it was a hard decision.

It should be a busy week at the Grove with orders coming in, donations to packaged and delivered and the final items of Mini K's that no longer fit will be on ebay tomorrow night.

I do need you to help me with one thing...I have monogrammed t-shirts for just about every holiday that Mini K has outgrown. Rather than put them on ebay I would like to just pass them on to someone who loves monograms as much as I do (if that is possible!). So if any of you know of a little girl, under the age of 3 with the monogram: kGe PLEASE let me know.

I am off to finish a few more must do's tonight, before my brain remembers I am 9 months pregnant, or my Sunday shows start. I promise to be back tomorrow!
