The Orange Gun....

It will forever be known in Grove Land as the Orange Gun. Yes, I kept my promise to Mini K and she is now the proud "owner" of earrings...that are actually in her ears.

Thursday was the big day and she marched into the jewelry store and promptly picked out some earrings....4.5 carat flawless yellow diamonds set in 18k yellow gold to be exact. They were only $98,000 and Mini K's response was 9 is less than 10 and I said she could get her ears pierced. Obviously I will make sure she goes Christmas shopping with Mr. G this year!

We settled on some pearl earrings, just like Ariel the mermaid, because after all she was going to get in the pool this summer. Then the orange gun came out. She sat so still and then earring number 1 was in...and scream number 1 came out. Needless to say it took some calming down (20 minutes), a large handful of M & M's and my covering her eyes to get hole number 2. She wanted to leave with just one, but I confess to embracing my mother's voice and saying "we didn't come here to get just one done and you said this is what you wanted, so sit still and be a big girl." I have officially become my mother.
She has spent the last 2 days showing everyone and I mean EVERYONE her new earrings.

So that is our big news...oh yes and Baby C slept through the entire thing. We might need to rename him the Mellow Mushroom!

And KP has tagged me, and is actually making me think so I will do that post tomorrow...PROMISE!
