Ok I promised I would catch everyone up on our travels. We started Christmas a little early with Mini K's version of the Happiest Place on Earth: Disneyworld. My version would be: Neiman Marcus with no limit!
I am still trying to figure out if the economy is as bad as the television keeps telling me...why was the airport so crowded. I have the Clear card for work and when Mini K travels with me she can go through with me. So Daddy had to stand in the horribly long security line while Mini K and I sailed through in less than 5 minutes. I still think if you travel a lot and hate standing in line it is the best $150 you will spend.
So after I landed home from NYC we left for Disney a mere 3 hours later. As soon as we arrived Mini K insisted on going to the park....so off to Hollywood Studios we went!
She even had fun standing in line for the Toy Story ride!
And she just couldn't quite believe we were at Cinderella's house. Mini K had just one question..."Does Cinderella have to pick up her toys?" Answer: YES
And while Mommy and Daddy got tired of the train ride around Magic Kingdom, Mini K thought it was the coolest thing.
We then came home for a day so she could attend her party at school. Then Saturday morning we were in the car driving to the great white north. Mini K got her first real snow sighting ( I don't believe 2 inches for a day counts) and we were in for a house full of cousins and a white Christmas!
She loved playing in the snow and had so much fun trying to keep up with her big girl cousins.
Mini K couldn't wait to open presents....so much so she literally fell asleep on them on Christmas Eve.
We drove home on Christmas morning and have settled back in a much calmer schedule. Our house cannot wait for the housekeeper to arrive tomorrow morning and I am finishing up some last minute to do's for Mini K's 3rd birthday tomorrow. I am in complete denial that my baby is going to be 3 already! Now if only everyone would stop asking me when we are going to have another!
And if all of this wasn't enough Hubby's birthday was yesterday. We had, at his request, a very unscheduled day and just went out for dinner and movie last night with Grove Gal E and her husband. I do need to plan a little cocktail outing this week to celebrate the birthday and the new job he starts on the 5th!
I am off to tie ribbons on the party bags for all of Mini K's school friends!
